Students will be grouped together to develop communication, teamwork and leadership skills. Students will meet in a classroom setting to learn many of the topics covered in this course.
Students will also spend a considerable amount of time outside of the classroom, practicing manual flight skills. The instructor will assess the flight skills of the individual students and their ability to work together as a team to accomplish a mission. If the weather is not suitable for flying outside, the students can fly in a larger hangar building at Hampton Roads Executive Airport.
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to plan and implement sUAS missions to collect data.
