Drones for Photography and Videos

This course teaches students the rules and regulations of flying in the FAA’s National Airspace System. Students will be prepared to take the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification Exam.

Students will learn flight planning and basic drone operation. All drones are provided.

Following this, students will explore the aesthetic principles of framing and movement for photographers and videographers. Applies principles of cinematography in photography and videography (frame rates, format, composition, rule of thirds, symmetry, perspective, parallax) to sUAS operations.

Students leave the course with a portfolio of drone photos and videos. The course emphasizes the ethical, legal and safe use of sUAS.
