Steven Fox - Co-Founder
Since 2000, Steven Fox has been the majority owner of Virginia Aviation Associates, LLC, the owner of Hampton Roads Executive Airport (KPVG), the largest public use reliever general aviation airport in Virginia. Fox has commuted to work at the airport by helicopter for 23 years and has used helicopters for the benefit of his real estate clients for 31 years.
Fox has a wealth of diversified experience in development, sales and management in the manufacturing, aviation and auction business. Under his leadership, the national auction franchise TRANZON was born. Utilizing his vast sphere of national real estate contacts in 2001, Fox was set to launch a national urban helicopter corridor route system using skyscraper rooftops and starting in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, VA ... then 9/11 happened. So, his focus shifted to development at the airport property, which included construction of a new 5350' runway, state-of-the-art terminal building, and increasing hangar square footage from 170,000SF to 500,000SF. At present, Fox is working on transitioning KPVG into an AAM hub.
Fox is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering. He is also an instrument rated helicopter and fixed wing pilot. In partnership with his son Luke, also a UVA graduate (Mechanical Engineering) who completed his Master’s Degree in Engineering Management at Old Dominion University, Fox developed and implemented a three-week Airport Operations Training Program.
